Drama Training and Students' Arrival

It was a long day yesterday going from 6:30 AM-midnight picking students up from the airport, having our first nightly worship and speaking meeting (FUAGNEM=Fired Up And Going Nuts Every Minute), and getting to know our teams.  It was a jam packed day full of joyful reunions and the beginning of new friendships. 

Today has been spent in six hours of drama training, language training, safety training, another FUAGNEM, and preparing to leave for our journey. 

PRAYER REQUESTS:
Please pray for energy, strength, and stamina.

Also pray for favor for a student who is a bright light, whom the Enemy does not want to go on the trip, resulting in logistical issues.  Lift her up in prayer.

Leaders arrive!

Second Day in Ft. Lauderdale, and we are hanging out while also keeping busy signing in all the leaders and some of their kids/students that came early with them.  Joyous reunions are happening, and new relationships are being formed.

Please pray for health, energy, safety, and safe arrivals for all those who have yet to arrive.  Please also pray for continued development in healthy relationships and team bonding.

We try every year to remember that we are also missionaries here at the hotel in Fort Lauderdale, and Jesus has already blessed that with a lady this morning who has told us she is so thankful for the work we are doing, and that she has noticed how our presence is affecting the hotel, and that she and the other staff can tell that there is something different about our group.  Soli Deo Gloria.

Day 1

EARLY morning...packed all day yesterday and left Denver at 1 am, and arrived safe and sound in Florida this morning.  It's been a joy seeing old friends, and being in a hotel where I have so many memories from the past three years. 

Prayer requests:
I'm tired.  Physically, emotionally, spiritually....the past month has been rough. 

Please pray for me:

As I finish writing my seminar, that God would give me wisdom and that I would give myself grace and remember that He will be faithful to speak through me.

That this is a rejuivinating time with people I love and care about very much, and that God would open my eyes in new ways to His glory and presence all around me.

That my heart would come alive in the work God has set before me to do.

That I wouldn't forget to SEE the students and leaders, and get so caught up in the busy work that I miss the important moments of struggle, triumph, and growth.
